About project
Our project, the BRANCH App, emerged from the recognition of a significant gap in the market for a dedicated brunch reservation service. With the realization that existing restaurant reservation platforms broadly cater to all dining times without focusing on specific meals, we identified an opportunity to specialize. The BRANCH app is our solution to this gap, offering users an exclusive platform to discover, evaluate, and reserve brunch experiences.
Challenge
In our project, we faced the critical task of designing an interface that not only captivates users visually but also facilitates swift and intuitive navigation. Recognizing that our users might be in a state of hunger and impatience, we aimed to strike an optimal balance between aesthetic allure and the rapid delivery of vital information, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Target Audience
Our app caters to brunch enthusiasts of all ages, prioritizing convenience and ease of use. It's designed for anyone seeking a straightforward way to find and book brunch spots, ensuring a hassle-free experience for users across different age groups.
Research
In our analysis of three table booking companies, we conducted an in-depth research endeavor aimed at understanding the user experience, functionality, and overall effectiveness of their platforms. The goal was to evaluate how each company approached the user journey, interface design, and features related to booking tables for dining purposes.

After several days of research, survey, and other activities we have agreed on having with following solutions.
Understand the Brand Identity
We started developing the app's brand identity, including its mission, values, target audience, and unique selling points.



User Testing
We conducted user testing with a diverse group, including interviews with 7 individuals and surveys from 12 users, to refine our app's design. Their feedback was vital in balancing the content display and improving user experience.



Thorough Design Reviews
Our team held frequent design reviews to identify and address issues early, enhancing our outcomes. These sessions helped detect and rectify design bugs and inconsistencies before the development phase. We also crafted detailed wireframes and user flow diagrams, crucial for visualizing and planning the user experience. These tools improved team communication and reinforced our focus on user-centered design throughout the project.

The first screen of app welcomes users with a seamless and intuitive interface.
With the convenience of quick tags, users can easily explore specific categories or preferences.
Map & filter
The user can find restaurant using search bar or current location, selecting the restaurant nearby.



Restaurant card
Restaurant card contains all the necessary information about the picked place. Users can also access ratings and reviews, helping them make informed decisions. Additionally, the restaurant page features a reservation button, allowing users to book a table directly within the app.

Reservation process

Profile
Here user can manage his account and upcoming reservations, re-book or rate his favorite spots.



Business perspective
Implementing a booking app can significantly contribute to business growth by offering convenience and simplicity in the reservation process. When customers don't have to search for brunch spots and already have an app with a list of restaurants, it greatly reduces their search time. This, in turn, helps increase the customer base and visit frequency, directly impacting sales and revenue growth. Therefore, a booking app becomes a crucial tool for enhancing business efficiency and profitability.
